Find out what Columbia trainees and faculty think most distinguishes the Center as a place to learn, teach, and grow.
Upcoming "Why Psychoanalysis?"
The Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research awards a one-year fellowship to a small number of highly qualified applicants each year. The fellowship provides senior trainees and early career psychiatrists and psychologists with an opportunity to engage with psychoanalytic ideas in a variety of settings. These include monthly seminars designed specifically for the fellows, regular individual meetings with a mentor, and participation in selected center-wide academic activities.
To apply to be a Columbia fellow, you must submit a letter of recommendation from the director of your training program, a letter of recommendation from a psychotherapy supervisor, a current curriculum vitae, and an essay of up to 1,000 words on a meaningful moment in a psychotherapy you have conducted. Please submit your application materials via email to Tamara Lipshie, MD, firstname.lastname@example.org
