Upcoming "Why Psychoanalysis?"
Mission: The main purpose of the Training and Supervising Analysts’ (TSA) Committee is to guide and oversee the evaluation of prospective training and supervising analysts as considerately and reliably as possible. A related purpose is to keep the Center's faculty and candidates informed of the requirements and the procedures for TSA appointment and the responsibilities that accompany it.
• To arrange for the evaluations of potential training and supervising analysts
• To review the findings of the evaluating interviewers, and to make recommendations regarding appointment to the Executive Committee of the Psychoanalytic Center for its approval.
• To monitor the interview experience of each of the applicants as well as the TSA interviewers with an eye toward providing an atmosphere that is respectful of the applicant and that will provide the Center with an accurate and reliable assessment of the applicant's qualifications for appointment.
• To meet from time to time with the TSA faculty to discuss issues of concern.
